For the 2012 season the Saturday XI will compete in the Dorset Funeral Plans Dorset Cricket League Division 1, after finishing second in a competitive Division 2 in 2011 and securing promotion. The Sunday XI made it a double promotion season becoming Division 3 champions in 2011, they will compete in a re-structured Longham Garden Machinery Dorset Cricket League Sunday Division 2.
The Evening League XI got relegated from Division 1 of the Dorchester & District Evening League, but reached the semi-final of the DDECL Doug Read KO Cup. Once again we will look forward to 2011 giving the BRCC youngsters a chance with a new challenge in Division 2.
Many thanks to the Captains and Vice-Captains for their sterling efforts during the season, and also to the Club Chairman and groundsman for his total dedication...again.
The Youth Section is undergoing change for 2012 and the club is appealing for further help in coaching and administration areas, if anyone is interested please contact the website administrator through this site. Many thanks to Andy Kent and Alan Green for their steadfast dedication in running the section over the last 3-4 years. A further communication will be issued over the comming weeks as the progress and strategy for the section in 2012. In 2011 the Under 13's team played an increased fixture list in the South & East Dorset District and there was a marked increase in performanceGood luck to them as they continue their learning curve into this year.
